We have known Dan for many years. When our daughter was a baby, he wanted to hold her. His face just lit up as he walked around very tenderly with her. This happened every time he held her.
Most recently, my daughter (Darlene) and her daughter (Lesa) came to church to visit. Dan went up to her daughter and gave her a hug. Since Lesa and Darlene look alike when they were young, Dan gave the hug to the wrong person!! Lesa gave the hug back to him and we all had a good laugh after Dan got to hug Darlene!!!!
Dan was very quiet but a really neat guy to know.

Bev and I were saddened to hear of Dan's passing. He was always a friendly guy with a passion for fishing and following the weather. Our prayers go to his family in Illinois for their loss.
