I was saddened when I ran across Scott's obituary. I had the privilege to work with him when he was a resident physician at Sparks. He was eager to learn and had the best intentions and deepest commitment as a new physician which made him an absolute joy to help train. He is gone way too soon. Sincere condolences to his family.
Our condolences to the family. I will always cherish the memories of working with Scott and all of the family at Bass Cat. Thoughts and prayers.

Dee and family your in our thoughts and prayers ❤️
There are not words to let y'all know how deeply Doc affected my life. He was my "assigned" physician when he first started his practice. What a wonderful man. He literally saved my life. I had to go to NCAMA 3 times a week, and I was in BRMC every 7-10 days for almost a year. I would look forward to hearing his bootsteps before 7 AM, as I knew he was coming to check on me so I could go back home. He was an amazing man and doctor. As I said, I was one of his first. He contacted my other doctor in Little Rock to see what he could do to help my treatment. They began a good work relationship, and she and he started referring patients to one another. I thank him for my life, and just wanted the family to know how much he was appreciated. Y'all are in my prayers, I can say no more.
I'm sorry to hear of Scott's passing. Prayers for those he left behind to receive God's comfort. May you cherish many fond memories of him. He was my high school classmate and was always a joy to be around.
Dear Dee and Family, we wanted you to know how sad we were when we heard of Scott passing. Sending our deepest sympathy. We wish we could be with the family during this time. Remember all the good times and happy memories. What a joyous reunion it must have been when our Father called him home. Scott will be missed by so many. Know you are all in our prayers and we love you.

Scott was such a kind and thoughtful man. His patients loved him so much. It was a pleasure having known him. Prayers for Dee & the family. There is comfort knowing he is singing in Heaven now.
Although Scott came to medicine later than most, he quickly made an impact in his patients’ lives and with his colleagues with his knowledge, humility and true caring for his patients. I throughly enjoyed sharing with him the care of his many patients. I am so sorry that his family and medicine lost such a fine person.

I had the pleasure of going to U of A with Scott. He was a great person to be around. I’m sad to here he has gone on to be with Jesus. Even though we haven’t kept up since college one thing is for certain Ezell was the same on Sunday as he was on Monday. May God comfort his family in their loss. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 NIV
Ron and Judy,We really do not have the words to adequately express our condolences to you and the rest of your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. With Love, Ron and Gale
I was Scott's residency director and teaching him was a pleasure. He was always most interested in his patient's welfare. He wanted to impact the lives of everyone he encountered in a positive way. He was just a good man in every measure. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Prayers for Dee and the kids, for omfort, for peace, and for memories of Scott that will grow sweeter with time. My life is better for knowing him.
Cole, Sally and the entire Ezell family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Lean on God for peace and understanding. Reflect on the memories spent together as family. You made your Dad proud.
It was our pleasure to sing on the First Baptist praise team with Scott and Dee. Scott was an excellent singer and music brought him great joy - as it did the people who heard him. We are so blessed to have known such a good and Godly man as Scott. He’ll be remembered with great affection.
Scott was one in a million. He was a kind and genuine soul. He will be greatly missed by every life he touched. It was an honor to know and work with him. -Michelle

Dr. Ezell was my mom’s Doctor who absolutely thought he was the best ever. Charlotte and I knew Scott and Dee for several years before Scott became a Doctor . Scott always had a kind word and smile to give. We are so very sorry and sad to hear of his passing. Just talked to him and Dee not so long ago. Praying for Dee and family!
Dr Ezell was my doctor the entire time he was in MT home. He was the best doctor I ever had. He was so smart and really cared.
So very sorry for your loss Dee. Prayers for you and your family.
I first met Scott while fishing the annual Basscat Owners tournaments. He was the lucky guy who got to marry Dee! I always enjoyed seeking him out to talk fishing, boats and careers. I was amazed when he decided to start med school at age 39. I thought how impressive that was and how he would bless people with his personal traits once he became a doctor. Years later I was at one of the tournament and became terribly sick. Being from out of town I had nowhere else to turn and Dee took me to his clinic and let me in the back door and I think it was after quitting time. Scott came in to see me and he and his nurses did an incredible job taking care of me. I could tell how much the nurses and staff respected him and the things they said about him were heartwarming. He was the dream doctor! In fact, I was planning to retire in Arkansas and I told my wife that we really needed to consider Mountain Home just so Scott can be my doctor! It is so tough to lose such a wonderful person. Dee, I have hurt for you and your family and thought of you all often the past couple of years as he dealt with cancer. You and you family are in my prayers and I think the Lord for the wonderful man that Scott was to so many. Hugs to you all.Allan
Ron and Judy,I just happened upon Scott’s obituary in today’s paper. I was blessed to read how God used his life in so many areas. You can see the man he was in those gentle and caring eyes but mostly in the many wonderful comments left by patients, co- workers, other doctor and friends. I remember him as a little boy with his sweet sister,Pam. I can tell he ended up being a blessing to so many just as the two of you have always been. Your example of compassionate Christianity and a loving marriage were a blessing to me way back when. Love and prayers of comfort to you both!
Dee I’m sorry for your loss and know he will be missed. My prayers are with you and your family

We moved here from Memphis in 2009. I am a nurse and have worked with doctors 41 years now. Dr. Ezell was suggested to me by a friend and colleague to be our PCP. The minute he walked in the room and introduced himself I felt his honesty, professionalism and integrity. He spoke to you and not at you. His care and true concern were apparent and his smile was genuine. I will miss him and prayers for your family ♥️
Dr. Ezell always made coming to work such a pleasure. I worked aside him off and on while at the clinic.. He has touched so many lives and left his wisdom of knowledge with so many of us and will forever be in our Hearts. Without his knowledge and push for me to go forward in the Medical Field his Teaching and coaching me believing in me at the worst time of my life while working with him and even after I moved away. I wouldn’t be where I am today. I'm forever Grateful for you DR. Ezell . May the Ezell Family and Friends find the strength and comfort they need at this time.RIP DR. Ezell 👏

Dee and children, Doris and I thought the world of Scott, he was a special person and physician. We will miss him deeply as we know all of you will as well. I never knew anyone who didn’t love and respect Scott. Even though I only knew him for a short time I truly loved and respected him as a Physician and a friend. There are very few in the world his equal. The world is a worse place today due to his passing. This proves the old saying-“Only the good die young.”
We are saddened to hear of Scott’s passing. We know he put up a fight. Dee and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers. God bless!
Worked with him at BRMC before the Hospitalist He was one the friendliest Doctors tohave to call or talk to. Loved running into him at Harbour Freight (literally) he would go around the corner just to run into my cart again He will be miss dearly
I met Dr. Ezell at a rough period in my life; I had just been diagnosed with Colon cancer and I was frightened and confused. I also had pain throbbing through my arm, and was certain that the cancer had already spread throughout my body. I was pretty upset. He let me spew out my fears for a minute or two, then he surprised me by laughing at me. At first I was indignant with him, but his laughter broke through the tension in the room and I finally stopped babbling. He took x-rays of my arm and assured me that it was just bruised, then he sat down with my husband and I and discussed options for dealing with the cancer. I've often thought of the irony that he was most likely suffering from his own cancer at the time, but it was before he knew he had cancer. I wish I had had the opportunity to have had him as my doctor for a longer period, but I'm really glad he took the time to spend with his family. His impact on my life was quite brief, but his influence continues to provide comfort when medical issues seem to get the upper hand. God Bless the Ezell family.
He was such a joy to call on as a pharmaceutical rep and one I always looked forward to seeing. I arranged my schedule so I wouldn’t miss visiting with him. What a blessing for all of you to have had such a great man in your lives. He was special and will be greatly missed. All of you have been and will continue to be in my prayers.
Dr. Ezell will be missed by many people. He was loved by many people. I have seen grown men cry, not to mention women crying when they talk about Dr. Ezell and how much he meant to them. It has been my honor to know him and his family. You all in our thoughts and prayers.
My condolences go out to Dr. Ezell's family, he was a great guy and my absolute favorite Doctor. May he rest in peace

This was far too soon to lose such a good physician and such an obviously good man & loved member of this community. To his family & loved ones, I'm so sorry for your loss- he left some big shoes to fill. I only knew him as my doctor for a while, & I still smile remembering his surprised reaction the day he discovered me as I was sharing a few of my pets @ the GFS Wildlife Expo one summer. It still seems like yesterday.
