Gilbert Frank Steinhaus, Sr, 76, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, in Mountain Home. He was born on January 16, 1945, in Evergreen Park, Illinois.
Gilbert owned and operated Steinhaus Towing in Plainfield, Illinois for 45 years. He loved racing and helping Ron at North Central Arkansas Speedway in Flippin.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 21 years, Cindy (Manegold) Steinhaus of the home; two sons: Gibby Steinhaus (Deanna) and Tim Steinhaus (Alexa); stepdaughters: Christina, Stephanie and Cheryl; grandchildren: Devin, Daniella, Gage, Trakker, and Kamber; and nine step children; and a special friend and brother, Ron Dwyer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert George Steinhaus and his cousins, Tom and Kelly.
There will be no services at this time.
I am so sorry to hear of Gibby's passing. I have fond memories growing up with him. We had a lot of good times together. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family during this difficult time.
