Gerald L. Brown, 68, of Jonesboro, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at his home. He was born in Craighead County on April 10, 1954 to the late Gerald G. and Joy Lee (James) Brown. Gerald was a graduate of Lafe High School and worked at World Color Printing Co. for 40 years before his retirement. He was a member of Milligan Ridge Baptist Church. Gerald was an avid military history buff, loved going to the beach and traveling, but his greatest pleasure and loves were his grandchildren, he was always their biggest fan.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, W. Don Lane and best friend/brother, Gerald Glidewell.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Rhonda Brown; son, Joshua and Brittany Brown; grandchildren, Mackenzie Brown, Conner Brown and Jada Brown; sister, Linda McClung; sister-in-law, Melinda McClain and brothers-in-law, Tim Tyler and Ronald Tyler.
A memorial service will be Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Valley View Missionary Baptist Church, 5924 Southwest Dr, Jonesboro. Reagan Lee will be officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Conner Brown, Gunner Tyler, Hunter Tyler, Mike Owens, David Davis, Tim Tyler and Ronald Tyler.
Burial will be private.
I’m so sorry to hear of your loss Rhonda. I really liked Gerald(Gary). He was always friendly and easy going. I think the last time you and I visited was at a school function that you were photographing. I wish you well Rhonda.

Rhonda, I was in total shock to see this just now on Facebook. My heart is broken for you. I am so thankful you’ll had the 49 wonderful years together. If you knew Gary (Gerald) you loved him! I am so sorry for your loss Rhonda. Gerald was a great guy, friendly to everyone and always upbeat. I worked with him for 32 years and he was even my boss for a short time. He was so proud of his grandkids. My prayers are with you and your family.

I will miss our trips to gulf shores AL he took me to the navel bases, and saw the blue angels fly many times, I love and miss you let them angels fly my brother.
