Geoffrey William Canten, SR. 72, left this life, his family and friends, to join the Lord, on October 5, 2021. He was a Marine (Lance Corporal) veteran. Geoffrey received a purple heart and an Expert Rifleman's award while in the Marines. He worked as a dirt construction foreman for Lindsey Construction and self-employed until he became disabled. Geoffrey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Hoskins) Canten, father, Howard W. Canten, sister, Andrea Hall and brother, Greg Canten.
Left to cherish Geoffrey's memory are his wife, Linda (Burgin) Canten, son, Geoffrey William Canten, JR. and wife Sonja, daughter, Shelly Davis and husband, Kevin, grandchildren; Cortney Wolfe and husband, David, Dalton Webber, Garet Davis and wife, Lauren, great-grandchildren; Gavin Files, Victoria Green and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
We will miss you! He had no peace on earth, may God bless your soul in your new life with everything you wanted to do and with no more pain and sorrow. Geoffrey's favorite saying was (Tootle Lou) I'll See You When I See You.
A private graveside service will be at Liberty Springs Cemetery in Scotland, Arkansas.

I'm sorry for your loss. I was around Big Geoff only for a short time but during that time he was always so good to me. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.
