I was very sad to hear of Virgil's passing. I have fond memories of him hunting, fishing, 3-wheeling, motorcycle riding and just "hanging out" with my dad, Bozy Sparks, on weekends. As a young child, I thought he was "superhuman" because he was literally a giant of a man and very strong. I remember clearly one day he caught a young fox squirrel with his hands so he could pet it. True to form, the little squirrel quickly bit Virgil completely through his thumb and would not let go. Finally, after many attempts, Virgil was free of the squirrel. I watched as he held up his thumb allowing all to see the sunlight coming through his new piercing before he hid it under a bandaid. Even today I am in awe of how he just proceeded on with his day as if nothing special had happened. Knowing my dad and Virgil in their younger years, alcohol may have been involved! Virgil was much loved by us all and will be dearly missed.

So sorry to hear Virgil passed away. He was a great friend to my daddy, Booger Fryer. I got to visit with him a few years ago and he was still the clown he always was. I will keep you all in my prayers.
