My heart sank when my aunt MaryRuth told me about David and Sue. I had came home to attend a funeral for my uncle Cecil. Uriel Lynn and Judy knew how close our families were from West Heights. I grew up with David. Some would say that I’m still growing up. Sue was my closest friend Jerry Dean Givens cousin. I will never forget all of the happy times and memories that all of us shared. Please feel free to call me at (337) 367-6777. I don’t know if you all were told about my dad T.L. Buddy Hoover passed away and uncle Limuel Simpson. It seems that the only time I ever come home is for a funeral. Uriel Lynn please call me when you can I have lost your phone number. Always remember that the love and kindness that we all share will never be forgotten. Take care and stay in touch. Dewayne
Rest in peace, sweet cousin. Wonderful long ago days at West Heights Baptist Church. I'm sure my mother (aunt Emna Lou) was among the first to welcome you Home. May God comfort your family in this time of sorrow.
I worked with David for 20 years at Affiliated Foods. I have known few people in my life that was as kind and genuine than David. The world lost a good one. God Bless his family and friends.
