Johnny Orvil McIntire, 86, of Roland, Arkansas, passed from this earthly home on August 14, 2021. He was born on September 15, 1934 to James Orvil and Hannah (Taylor) McIntire.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lawrence; sister, Olive; daughter, Sandra, and grandson, Barrett Seymour. He is survived by his wife, Dollie Nowlin McIntire of 68 years; daughters, Pamela Jones (Neil), Becky Gilbert, Amy McIntire; son, Mark McIntire (Penny); nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was a 32nd degree Mason, retired from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office and Pulaski County Special School District. He owned and operated a school bus company for several years. He also ran the local wrecker service in the 70's and 80's.
Due to COVID-19, the family has decided to hold a memorial service later in the fall.

Johnny will be missed by his friends so sorry for your loss and we will be praying for God’s comfort for your family.
Johnny McIntire was a good friend and helped me grow in my early years. I worked for him when he had the school bus company and he helped me hone my mechanical skills. You will be missed John McIntire. RIP my friend.

There is a generation leaving us so quickly. A bond between that group so close and yet fewer and fewer of them are left. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Johnny and Dollie were both so very good to me when I first went to work for Pulaski County School District. I'm forever grateful. Johnny later became my supervisor. I always knew he had my bad and I could depend him when dealing with problems on the job. My heart hurts for you Mrs. Dollie and your family.
