Prayers for comfort and strength to all Judy's family. Fond memories . . . with Jim and Judy at their cabin in Cloudcroft and tailgating at UTEP football games, traveling with Judy to NCAA basketball play-off games, with Judy at UTEP football and basketball games. Wonderful friend memories.

We've lost a great person in Judy. I was a counselor in Ysleta and she was the best supervisor we ever had. As we got to know one other, we realized we were at UT at the same time (and dated the same guy!) so we had a special bond. Judy had a wicked sense of humor, loved her counselors and defended us when necessary BUT wasn't shy about taking us to task when she even suspected there was any unprofessional conduct going on. Before she left the district she said she was, "playing her last card" to get counselors a raise. The world needs more people like Judy.

I worked with Judy in the Ysleta Schools, El Paso, Tx. Judy's expertise focused on student success, programs and instructional strategies providing the skills needed to be productive citizens. She cared deeply about all those around her and her sense of humor made every interaction fun. You will be missed, Judy, but the memories of time together will always be mine.

It broke my heart to learned of Mrs. Lewis passing. She was my guidance counselor at Bel Air HS here in El Paso. I loved her laugh and free spirit. She was such a kind and giving person who impacted my life. Funny how I was telling my daughter about her a few weeks ago. Ms. Lewis should be proud of all that she accomplished in her lifetime. She was my role model and always encouraged me to keep pursuing a higher education. I am now an Assistant Principal and I thank her for planting that seed. My condolences to her family and take comfort on all the lives that she impacted in such a great way.
You will be missed Mrs. Lewis,
RIP ❤️

Judy and I had so many fun times together - ball games, Final 4 in S.A., football camp in Socorro, NM., parties, watching Survivor and The Amazing Race, etc. I was so sorry to learn of her death, but I have all those happy memories. My sympathy to her family, whom she loved so dearly.

RIP Judy. You will be missed by all that knew you. We in Ysleta ISD can all think of a story or a joke you would share and we could laugh and leave feeling better than when we went to see you. You were a character. You always had children as the focus of your education decisions.
