I’m honored to say Ella Mae and I were good friends for over eighty years.
Her family and my family were close friends and neighbors in the Chapel Hill Community, where she and I were born and reared. She and Clyde were our good friends for so many years. They both were very good people.
Chris and family, It was an honor to have known her, and my deepest sympathy is with you.

I am so sorry to hear of Ella's passing. She was such an inspiration to me and so many others. She saw qualities in me that I didn't see in myself. With her encouragement I became a state officer in Delta Kappa Gamma. She will be greatly missed!

Ella was the epitome of an elegant southern lady. I first met her many years ago when I attended an Arkansas Delta Kappa Gamma meeting and saw what a wonderful state leader she was to our organization. When I moved to Conway in 2000, I was thrilled to transfer my membership to the Conway chapter where she proved over the years to be so indispensable to that chapter and the state of Arkansas. She will be missed by so many. I know that even though I am in Texas now, I often think of what a great asset she was to DKG and what a great friend she was to me.

Mrs. Reese changed countless lives for the better. She was as beautiful as she was caring. I was not one of her best students; however, she never gave up challenging me to work harder to achieve more for myself. Her kindness and servanthood will be sorely missed. Prayers for peace and comfort to her family and friends 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Chris, I am very sorry to hear of you and your families loss of Ella! Ella is one of those persons who when you were around her you just felt better! I realize that may sound strange but that’s the way she made me feel, invited, welcome, and comfortable! I remember having many school politics discussions with her in which we agreed most the time! Her smile was contagious and I am more than sure that she will be missed. I also know that she is in a much much better place!
