Velma Ruth Reaves, 73, of Oark passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023 in Russellville. She was born October 29, 1949 to Charles Ralph & Bessie Irene (Martin) Shoopman in Oakland, CA. Valma enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, reading books, angry birds and collecting jewelry, especially silver with turquoise.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Ralph & Bessie Irene (Martin) Shoopman; two sons, David Reaves and Wilbur Reaves and one brother.

Valma is survived by her daughter, Theresa (Larry) Ruffaner; eight grandchildren, Michael Sukut, Mitchell Ruffaner, Larry Dean Ruffaner, Brandy Reaves, Wesley Reaves, Marissa Reaves, Ryan Reaves and Tyler Reaves; numerous great grandchildren; three sisters, Falbia Charlene Jameson, Linda Faye Jones and Judy Ann Quinton and numerous other family and friends.

Memorial service will be at a later date.
