Charles Wayne Green, 67, of Benton, AR, went to be with his Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. He was born in California to the late Raymond and Dorothy Warrick Green. He grew up in Springdale, AR. and was loved by many.
Charles, who was a retired paint contractor had many passions and hobbies. He was a man, who had a huge heart for family and friends. His love was bigger than life itself. Avery, his granddaughter was his pride and joy. Charles enjoyed not only watching his son, Barry, play sports when he was younger, but continued to enjoy sporting events the rest of his life. He especially loved and made sure he was there on the opening day of Oaklawn Racing every year. As a lifelong reader, Charles had a wealth of knowledge about historical and sporting events. His passion was for stray animals of all kinds. Charles always kept his faith and positive attitude for all to see.
Surviving Charles is his beloved wife of 44 years, Deondra Massey Green; one son, Barry Green; Daughter-in-law, Lindsey Green, grandchild, Avery Green; his brother, Marvin Green, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Monday, December 28, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Smith New Rosemont Cemetery in Benton,
We are complying with Arkansas Department of Health guidelines. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks while attending the graveside service.

It was with sadness when we were informed of Charley passing. We were friends for about 45 years. Our condolences go to his wife and family. Rip Charley, we will all get to the finish line someday.
