of Benton, AR
February 15, 1937 - September 25, 2019
Mildred Wright, 82, of Benton passed into the loving arms of her Savior on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. She was born February 15, 1937 to Elmer and Huerta Mae Bowman Robinson.
Mildred was a loving and caring woman who put the needs of others before her own. You could often find her sitting with people after a surgery or if they just needed some company. She was a faithful member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years and thoroughly enjoyed church activities. Her domino playing group was some of the best friends she had and she loved the game just as much. Battling and surviving breast cancer, Mildred had a great appreciation for and gave much of her time to several local, state, and nationally recognized breast cancer groups. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were highly favored and adored by her, as well as her dog and close companion, Maggie, whom she leaves behind.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Wright; her parents, three brothers, Eddie Robinson, Eugene Robinson, and Elmer Robinson Jr.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Teresa Reed and her husband, Danny of Benton; three grandchildren, Shannon Caldwell, Jason Caldwell, and Kayla Croy; one great-granddaughter, Dani Pike; her sister, Breva Scott; and many other extended family members and friends too numerous to name.
A Funeral Service will be Monday, September 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Roller-Ballard, 306 S. Main Street, Benton (501) 315-4047. A Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Smith-New Rosemont Cemetery.
Ms Mildred was just at my shop getting her hair done not long ago. She played catch with my 10 year old son. I'm so thankful for that memory. She was happy to play with him and he was having fun with her. Love her. May she rest in peace. Prayers for all that loved her.
Teresa....sending my condolences and prayers your way. God will provide strength and comfort to get us through the difficult times.
As the sister of one of my best friends in High School, Eddie Robinson, I knew the Robinson family quite well. In our high school years Marilyn was always very quiet and did not exhibit the outgoing personality of Eddie. That appears to have changed over the years.
I found her very forthcoming about Eddie's death while serving in the US Army and his only son, a Veterinarian, who resides in Australia while preparing to honor Eddie at the 60th Anniversary of the Benton Class of 1956.
My sincere condolences are extended to Marilyn's Family!
Condolences for your loss.. She and Charles were one of the community cornerstone's I will always remember.

Mildred was such a kind woman. We loved the time we had to get to know her through our Mamaw Bonnie, church, and when she watched our puppy, Zoey. She will be missed. Prayers for your family.
Always thinking of others. A big heart for others who suffered. Loved all of her pets as her family.
