Christa Nicole O'Neil

of Mountain Home, AR

December 5, 1970 - March 14, 2026

Christa Nicole O'Neil, 55, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, in Yellville, Arkansas, surrounded by the love of her family and friends after a brave and courageous battle with illness.

Christa was born on December 5, 1970, at Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, North Carolina. A true ''Daddy's girl,'' she loved helping her father with any task and carried that same spirit of devotion and care throughout her life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and compassionate nurse.

Christa attended Western Carolina University alongside her best friend, Stefanie Effler, where she earned her bachelor's degree in child development and Family Relations. She later continued her education at Haywood Community College, where she obtained her Registered Nursing degree. Christa dedicated many years to the nursing profession, where her gentle heart, unwavering compassion, and selfless dedication brought comfort and healing to countless patients. Her colleagues and those she cared for deeply admired her kindness, warmth, and the genuine love she showed to others.

Faith and family were the center of Christa's life. She gave her life to Jesus in 1977 and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her years. Christa loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with all her heart and shared that love through her actions and the care she gave to others. She found immense joy in caring for her family, especially her beloved husband Kevin and her son Andrew.

Christa had a special love for dogs, who brought her endless happiness, especially her cherished dog, Lucky. Her son Andrew was the pride and joy of her life. She delighted in celebrating his accomplishments and was incredibly proud that he will graduate in May from the Wisconsin School of Medicine with his Ph.D. Christa treasured the opportunity to guide him, teaching him lessons of kindness, strength, and faith that will continue to guide him throughout his life.

Christa leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and service. Her life was a reflection of putting others before herself and lifting up those around her with kindness and grace.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin O'Neil of 32 years; her son, Andrew O'Neil; her very best friend, Stefanie Effler; her mother, Linda Davenport (Jerry); her sister, Shannon Davenport (Anthony); her nephew, Garrett Davenport (Samantha); and her niece, Emily Williamson (Sawyer).

She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Gaddy, and her grandmother, Margaret Green.

A graveside service will be held at Caney Cemetery on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with Eddie Lawson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Arrangements are under the care of Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.

Kevin, Andrew, and other members of Christa's family,
Please know that I join you in celebrating Christa's life. She was a beautiful, dedicated, and compassionate lady who loved her Lord and her family. I was so happy when she joined our extended family about 35 years ago. Through the years when we were able to spend time together, I always enjoyed her company. She has dealt with with her extended illness with faith and patience. I am here for you at any time

Love,
Aunt Karen and family
