Agnes Aldridge Howe, age 90, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family.

Agnes was born May 16, 1935, in Colt, Arkansas, to Thomas and Mary Aldridge. She lived a life centered around faith, family, and friendship. Agnes worked for many years as a bank teller at Fidelity Bank, where she was known for her kindness, warm smile, and dedication.

She was a faithful member of Colonial Baptist Church in West Memphis. Agnes enjoyed spending time with her friends at bridge club and going out for bingo nights. She also enjoyed being active at the Lucille McWherter Senior Center and truly loved being in the company of others.

Agnes was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was known for her selfless nature and always putting others before herself. Some of her most cherished moments were simple times spent with her daughter DeShawn and granddaughters Sydney and Rayna. enjoying brunch or quiet afternoons together. Her love for her family was unconditional, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Derl Howe, and by her parents, Thomas and Mary Aldridge.

Agnes leaves behind her daughter, DeShawn Sapinsley; her granddaughters, Sydney Henington and her husband Aaron, and Rayna Sapinsley; along with numerous extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Agnes will be remembered for her loving heart, generous spirit, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her

Deshawn, I’m so sorry to read this about your mother. Losing our parents is so hard because then we have to grow up for sure.
I pray that God will give you the peace and comfort that only He can at this sad time and lift you up in the days to come. 🙏

DeShawn, Sydney, and Rayna:

I'm so sorry to hear about Agnes. She was a wonderful person with a loving heart. I have so many fun memories of our teller days at Fidelity Bank. She was my teacher, my co-worker, and my friend. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
I am praying for you and your girls.
