June 5, 1938 - March 13, 2026
June Anne Ruth (Bishop) Sheppard was promoted to Heaven on March 13, 2026, to meet her Savior of 70+ years, the Lord Jesus Christ. June was the daughter of George and Anna (Argilander) Bishop and was born June 5, 1938, in Fitchburg, MA. She was educated through the Fitchburg school system and graduated in 1956. June also attended Burbank Hospital School of Nursing, Fitchburg, MA and the Bible Institute of New England, St. Johnsbury, VT.
On August 15, 1958, June married James Sheppard. They were blessed with three children, Kenneth, Janet and Stephen whom they loved dearly.
June joyfully served the role as pastor's wife in their five different church ministries. She especially enjoyed working with children in Sunday school and youth ministries. June sang in the church choir and often played the piano for worship services. She also assisted in Christian school ministries for 20 years.
June found great enjoyment in spending time reading, gardening, and laughing with others. She was also known to be very expressive at sporting events. She was especially a fan of the Boston Celtics, the New England Patriots and always filled out a NCAA March Madness Bracket.
Her grandchildren have memories of playing games, swimming and coloring with her. Her laughter and contagious smile will be greatly missed.
June leaves behind James Sheppard (her husband of 67+ years), Kenneth & Alicia Sheppard (Brockton, MA), Clifton & Janet Dancy (Salem, NH), and Stephen & Kimberly Sheppard (Marion, AR), nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
James and June have been residing with Steve and Kim Sheppard since 2020 and are residents of Marion, AR.
