of Marianna, AR
September 30, 1949 - March 13, 2026
Larry Dale Bryant, of Marianna, Arkansas, was born on September 30, 1949, to Cleo and Mary Janice Bryant. Larry passed away surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, service, and deep devotion to those he loved.
Larry proudly served his country in the United States military during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971. During his service, he worked in the engine room aboard a tugboat, a role that required grit, dedication, and perseverance, qualities that defined him throughout his life.
After returning home from Vietnam, Larry began working for Coca-Cola before discovering his true passion in farming. He later began working on the farm for Stanley Jones, where his love for the land grew even stronger. Eventually, Larry fulfilled his dream of becoming a farmer on his own farm. Farming was more than a job to Larry, it was his life's work and joy. After 35 years of farming, he was forced to retire due to declining health, though his love for the land never faded.
Larry was a devoted husband, father, and Dig Daddy. He was married to, Rita Bryant, and together they shared four children.
He leaves behind his children who will cherish his memory: Ashley (Bubba) Byrd, Laura (Dusty) Carlson, Christopher (Becca) Whitehead, and Andrea (Zach) Kibe. He was a proud Dig Daddy to nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Hannah (Matthew) Gerrard, Haley Byrd, Savannah Whitehead, Madison Whitehead, Collan Byrd, Hayes Kibe, Kennedy Carlson, Austyn Kibe, Kora Jane Carlson, Mary Chandler Gerrard, and Mac Collyns Gerrard.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Mary Janice Bryant, and his siblings, Gary Bryant, Debbie Bryant, and Steve Bryant.
Larry will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of farming, his service to his country, his ability to entertain others, and most of all, the deep love he had for his family. His legacy will live on in the fields he farmed and in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. 🌾🇺🇸
