Thomas Stanley Boden, age 89, of Columbus, MS passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026. Stan was born on January 31, 1937, in Jonesboro AR to the late James Hillery Boden and the late Dixie Broadaway Boden. Stan was a 1955 graduate of Valley View High school and served as the senior class president. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University and a Master of Science degree from the University of Arkansas. He was an avid Arkansas Razorback football and basketball fan. While attending college, he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Turman Boden. They were married for 67 years. After college, he served as a first lieutenant in the United States army. After serving in the military, he worked in industry as a chemist for almost four decades. Stan was a member of the First Baptist Church in Columbus, MS where he sang in the sanctuary choir for 48 years. His favorite church activity was singing tenor in the ''Men of Praise'' group. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing barbershop quartet music, working in his garden, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his stepfather, Frank Green; one son, Keith Boden; two brothers, Wallace Boden and Paul Boden.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Turman Boden; one son, Craig Boden (Badamkhand); one step-grandson, Zundui Badral (Rose); two granddaughters: Amanda Boden and Scarlett Boden; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be on Friday, March 13, 2026, 2:30 pm, at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery, 3910 Harrisburg Rd, Jonesboro, AR.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 12 pm to 2 pm at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W. Washington Ave, Jonesboro, AR.
