Harold Herschel Crane

Sunrise March 7, 1938 - Sunset March 1, 2026

Harold Herschel Crane, 87 of Leslie, Arkansas, went peacefully to be with the Lord on March 1, 2026. ''Well done good and faithful servant.'' Mathew 25:21
He was born on March 7, 1938, at home in Colton, California to Elvin Elbert and Ola Mae Crane. The first born of three children. He was born during a flood and his mother acted as doctor and nurse during the delivery. The doctor arrived a half hour later.

He spent his childhood living in Southern California, New Mexico and West Texas. He attended college for two years at Apostolic Faith Bible College in Baxter Springs, Kansas. He was a veteran of the US Army.
He lived much of his early adult life in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he worked as a general contractor, Founder and Owner of HHC Construction. He moved to Leslie, Arkansas in the early 1980's where he co-founded the Leslie Medical Center and lived out the remainder of his time here on earth.

Harold was a man devoted to God, prayer and faith whose life was anchored in eternity. He enjoyed good health across his lifespan. He spent his last few days on earth praying, praising God, and even interceding for others while in the hospital after breaking his hip and suffering a heart attack. He was favored by the hospital medical team that treated him. The family would like to thank Dr. Slayton, Dr. Bridgeforth, Gabriel, Michael and other nurses at Conway Regional Medical Center that lovingly cared for him the last two weeks of his life.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin Elbert Crane and Ola Mae Sheilds Bratton, his sisters Caroyln Price and Sharon Pomerleau and step daughter Terri Hughes Campbell.

Harold is survived by his loving wife Nelia Crane, daughter Janie Crane (Ron) Cook, son Baron Crane, step son Danny (Norma) Hughes and step daughter Lisa (Ken) Burks.

The family will hold a private inurnment at Trace Ridge Cemetery in Leslie, Arkansas at a later date.

Uncle Harold we didn’t spend a lot of time getting to know each other since we lived so far apart but I will never forget the stories my mom, your sister Carolyn told me about your growing up years. According to her you picked on her and Sharon continually since Granny was at work supporting 3 children. She loved telling me about the times they got even with you 😊. Regardless she looked up to her big brother and loved you dearly. I am confident that all of you are hugging and loving each other and Jesus eternally. I’ll see you when it’s my time. Love, Your niece Sharon. ♥️
