I met Joe and Gloria as customers at the bank.
What an enlightening couple! Gloria was a great artist and Joe doted on her. I always enjoyed when they came in and the stories that they would tell.
You could not beat the brownies that we got!
When Gloria passed Joe brought us all a plant from her and I still have my plant today and I have taken starts and given them to so many people so she has lived on through her plants.
Joe also gave us a gift. Mine is a painted birdhouse that I still have in my China cabinet.
He was such a positive person and gave so much to everyone so I know he is being rewarded now.
He was a wonderful man.

Joe Brown was one of the first people I had the honor of meeting when I first moved to Mountain Home in 2019. He was always smiling and laughing, full of stories and wisdom. I had multiple one on one conversations with Joe and these are some of the things I learned about him. He loved his wife, her happiness was his. He loved his pets, they were spoiled in their forever home with him. He loved his community, he looked for ways to help without ever seeking credit. He cared for his people, whether it was letting out a neighbors dog, dropping off a sweet treat he’d baked, or slipping his server an extra 20 just because they mentioned their kid was outgrowing their shoes. Joe Brown was an exceptional human and I’m so grateful to have crossed paths with him.
