Vera Mae Rosemary Thomas

of Little Rock, AR

December 19, 1956 - February 26, 2026

Vera Thomas was a loving mother, and a woman whose kindness touched many lives. Born on December 19, 1956 to the late Lee Thomas Sr. and Clara Mae Davis Thomas, she was the youngest of ten children, growing up surrounded by a large family full of love. Eight of her siblings preceded her in death, Mable Thomas, Archie Thomas, Johnnie Mae Jones, Lorene Montgomery, Eugene Thomas, Lee Thomas Jr, Pearl Hall, and Jimmie Don Thomas. We can only imagine the joyful reunion that has taken place.

Vera graduated from J.T. Robinson High School in 1975 and later continued her education to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She had a true heart for caring for others, which led her to faithfully serve at St. Vincent Hospital, offering comfort, compassion, and a warm smile to those in need until her health began to decline.

At an early age, Vera gave her life to the Lord and remained steadfast in her faith. Her love for God guided her steps and shaped her character. She later received her minister's license from Full Counsel Ministries, continuing her commitment to serve and uplift others spiritually. She was also affiliated with Agape Church and John Hagan Ministries, where she remained active and dedicated in her walk of faith.

Vera was a strong woman who loved her family deeply. She leaves to cherish her memory her two beloved sons, Vernon Jones Jr. and Jermaine Thomas (Cher), one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, one sister, Eloise Reed (Matthew) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Vera transitioned peacefully on February 26, 2026. Her life was a testament to faith, service, and love. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A funeral service to celebrate Vera's life will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the chapel of Roller-Chenal Funeral Home.

Vera will be truly missed I remember when she came to Seattle in the 80s to visit, she was a skinny person with hips and a country voice that loved to laugh. R.I.P

You will be deeply missed, Auntie Vera. May you rest in eternal peace. I will always cherish the long conversations we shared and the wisdom and warmth you gave so freely.

Now you join your sisters and brothers who have gone before you. Your memories will live on like a beautiful garden of flowers, each thought, each laugh, each moment together like a blossom we can gently pluck and hold close to our hearts as we remember the good times.

Your love and spirit will never fade. Rest peacefully, Auntie Vera. You will always be remembered and forever loved.
