Dorothy ''Dotsie'' Thines, 86, of Conway, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026. She was born October 10, 1939, in St. Vincent, Arkansas to the late Ben and Theresa (Briggler) Zimmerman.
She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Morrilton. Early in her marriage she was a homemaker before moving into retail sales. She finished her career as the manager of Cordia's Gift Shop. (She also dabbled in acting when she was featured in the Superior Senior Care commercial!) She was loved by her customers and coworkers alike and she had a knack for making everyone feel like they were the most important person in the room. Dotsie was happiest, spending time with friends and family and baking for those she loved. You never left Dotsie's house without a cookie or brownie in hand! She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Thines, her parents; her brothers, Clarance and E.L. Zimmerman; and her grandchildren, Baby Pruitt and Connor Imboden.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; son, Berny (Mandi) Thines; daughters, Paula Pruitt, Vicki (Bo) Moix, and Rene (Craig) Imboden; grandchildren, Ben (Sara), Daniel (Kelsey), Brandi, Austen (Tory), Andrew (Audrey), Kayla (Dylan), Robert (Lina), Madeline (Andrew), Matthew (Ariana), Ella, and Owen; great-grandchildren, Kinley, Cora, Palmer, Amira, Anna, Bo, Molly, Eli, Fay, Lyla, Quinn and Lucy; siblings, Robert Zimmerman, Marie Beck and Rosalie Beck.
Rosary will be Tuesday, March 10th beginning at 6:30pm at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 11th, also at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Private Inurnment will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
The family offers sincere thanks to all the ladies and gentlemen from Superior Senior Care, Superior Health and Rehab, and Hospice Home Care for the wonderful care and love she received. Special thanks, as well, to ''The Lock Boys'' for supplying transportation and friendship. The family is also deeply grateful to Liz Neal for the time, love and care she gave over the years, and to Martha McClaren for the friendship, laughs, cooking lessons and sleepovers they shared since Dad passed. Each of you held a special place in her heart and the hearts of the Thines family!
Memorials can be made to the St. Joseph School Endowment Fund at P.O. Box 72, Conway, AR 72033 or online at www.sjse.org.

Dorothy was my dads (E.L. Zimmerman) sister. Her smile was as bright as any star in the ski.
Dorothy took care of me when I was very little. Her laugh was the best and her smile was always there for everyone to see. I will miss her and Johnny.
I know you have a special place in heaven!!

So sorry for the loss of your Mom. Prayers for your family.

I hated to move away from my neighbor Dorothy, we were already missing John by then. Our visits the last two summers were wonderful, we parked our RV in the back yard and were neighbors for a while again. She kept the spot for us, she would say. The memories are many since we moved two doors down from the Thines's. in 2004. I'm glad I got to talk to her on the phone just a handful of days before she left us. Always with a smile as she held back her tears as best she could when we left. I can say I knew and loved Dorothy and she and John were good friends to us from day one. I guess you are back to having waffles with John and Charles Day, Dorothy, we will join you in time. You will remain in my heart always. Our condolences to all her family, and there are many!

We were saddened to hear of Ms. Dorothy's passing. It was truly an honor for all of us at Superior Senior Care to have known and cared for her. We were also blessed to meet her wonderful family while capturing scenes for our holiday commercials--a memory we will always cherish.
Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the entire Thines family.

My sincere condolences to the family of Mrs. Dorthy. It was a privilege to assist in supporting her care for so many years. She will be remembered fondly, and I’ll always remember how much she loved being in the commercial. My thoughts are with her loved ones during this difficult time.

I was so sorry to hear about Dorothy's death. I did not see her often but at various family gatherings I always enjoyed talking with her--she was so vivacious and friendly. I have so many fond memories of the whole Thines family and Dorothy and Johnny Carl (as we cousins called him). I know that you will all miss her so much. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. May God bless and comfort you during this difficult time.
