I am sorry to hear about Haskell. I think that I was about 4 years old when I first met him. He was always a great guy and I enjoyed visiting with him and learning some of life's lessons at the shop. He would always make sure to say "Hello!" every time he saw me. Prayers for the family.

I'm so sad to hear this. Friendliest guy you'd ever know, even when Dad took us down to his shop and made us get a haircut. He must've bought Butch wax by the case; he never seemed to run out of it. My condolences to the family, especially Martha and Ryan. He will be missed.

My heart is broken for Martha Pearl, Ryan, our church and our community. Haskell will be forever missed in our hearts and lives. He was a great man, father, grandfather, friend and most of all led by example of being a good Christian. He was always there and ready to help whoever needed it. God truly gained another angel in Haskell. "Soar to heights unknown on your wings, you deserve the best, Haskell!" We love you and miss you. I ask God to comfort your family during this difficult time. God Bless.

I will always have wonderful memories of my Uncle Hack teasing me and being so kind to me and my children when we would go visit family. He was always helping family and making things fun for us. His calm demeanor and gentle nature made him so easy to be around even during difficult times. He was a very good husband, father, and uncle to his nieces and nephews who loved him so much. I would often check in on him on church videos on Sunday mornings just to see him walking around with his hands in pockets strolling around visiting friends and family before the service began. My heart and love go out to Martha and Ryan. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

When my memories begin, Haskell (and Mart) were there. Always in my corner, giving me candy, making fun of me, giving me hugs, Sunday nights at the pizza place after church, encouraging me in good times and bad. And not only did Haskell take care of me, he loved my boys, too, and they loved him. I can’t even begin to express how good he was to them. And Haskell always ensured they practiced all the words they can’t say so they stayed out of trouble. I’ll miss his ornery smile, Sunday hugs and his candy sack. He was like an uncle to me and I’ll love him forever.
