Adren Norris Howard , 86, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born in Tuckerman, Arkansas on Monday, May 29, 1939, to the late Gordon and Ruby Crabtree Howard. Adren was a member of the Fourth Street Baptist Church and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing, working and tinkering around the house.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Howard; seven children, Judy Crecelius of Knoxville, TN, Randy Howard (Cricket) of Poplar Grove, AR, Angie Seelinger (Keith) of Scott, AR, Sandra West of Gulf Port, MS, Victor Howard of West Helena, AR, Zoe Howard (Dustin) of Helena, AR, and Eraina Butler (Tim) of Callahan, FL; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; sixteen great-great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Howard (Ann) of Hickman, CA and Jerry Howard (Rhonda) of Hilmar, CA; sister, Rosemary Howard Winters of Waterford, CA; host of nieces and nephews; special nieces, Michelle Harris of Waterford, CA, Julie Staton of Collierville, TN, and Pricilla Secrest of Heber Springs, AR; special nephews, Michael Montgomery of Belgin, Bud Secrest of Heber Springs, AR and Ed Staton of Collierville, TN.
Adren is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, JF Howard and Tommy Howard; three children, Lamae Box, Fred Ellis Jr., and Victor Ellis.
Serving as pallbearers will be Victor Howard, Jacob Blair, Chris Crecelius, Grant Box, Dustin Robinson, Austin Robinson, Matthew Howard, and J.R. Box.
A funeral service honoring the life of Adren Howard will be held 2:00 p.m., on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Roller Citizzens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Brother Lance Madden will officiate.

I remember Adren from farmers oil & supply way back in the 70's, I was a little boy then, he was always so nice to me. Over the years as I grew up he always knew me everytime our paths crossed, I'll never forget him, ever. I also went to school with Angie, your dad was a great and good man a real gentleman...

Adren, been my friend about 66 years, my first memories of Adren were at Elaine Elementary School were he was Janitor, sometimes at recess we would be riding the merry go round, and Adren would come walking by and give us a push or two, and seemed like we would be flying!
