Betty Ranell Schafer, 67, of Bigelow, Arkansas peacefully went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 17th, 2026.

She was born March 7, 1958 in North Little Rock. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, John and Athalene Parks, her sister Marybeth Castleberry, and her brother Dennis Parks.

Betty was a devoted housewife and mother. During her lifetime she spent time as a Sunday School teacher and was an avid crafter, artist, and loved to study genealogy. She loved to sketch and create things for her friends and family. People who knew her well would say she gave good advice and was quick to tell you what the Bible has to say about a situation.

Betty is survived by her husband, John Schafer, sons, Brandon Schafer (Elaine), Michael Schafer, grandchildren Ethan Schafer and Aubrey Schafer, her brother Steven Parks (Lynda) and sister Debra Kinchen (Al) and many more loving nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.

I’m truly sorry to hear about Miss Many. I only met her Once or twice, but if you truly was a sweet lady. I worked at Crain automotive with her two sons with great big hearts…. My heart goes out to them and their father, For I have lost both of my parents and it’s hard to put into words… Just remember you’ve officially have a new guardian angel that can be more for you now… Love you guys!
