Brenda Joyce Hamilton Smith Deaton, 86, of West Helena, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Crestpark Nursing Home in Marianna. Brenda was born August 18, 1939, in Marianna, to the late Ymon and Mary (Spencer) Hamilton.

She is survived by one son, Vernon Joe ''Bo'' Smith (Janice) of Poplar Grove, four grandsons: Corey Smith of West Helena, Jason Smith of Ft. Worth, Texas, Devon Ramey (Megan) of White Hall, and Chris Miller (Tammy) of Marianna, one granddaughter, Jennifer Miller of Tallahassee, Florida, a sister, Kathy Delk of Bald Knob, a brother Larry Hamilton (Margie) of Helena, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ymon and Mary Hamilton; her husband, Mack Deaton, three children, Anita Kay Ramey Barnes, Denisa Miller Torno, and Gary Smith, two sisters, Mary Frances Batchelor and Sharon Arnold, and one brother, Bobby Wayne Hamilton.

A Memorial service for Brenda Deaton will be held privately at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be mailed to: Lexa Baptist Church, P.O. Box 189, Lexa, AR 72355.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Crestpark Nursing Home in Marianna for their dedication and service in caring for our mother.
