Brenda Sue Rankins Hunt, age 67, gained her wings on February 16, 2026. Brenda was born on April 17, 1958, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Nolan and Emigene Rankins. She retired from SBC/AT&T after 30 years of service, where she received many accolades for her work, especially with the presidential lines.
Brenda loved creating things for others, from tie quilts and handmade crafts to beautiful wreaths, and she also enjoyed trips to the casino, the beach, and camping. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She loved her two girls with all her heart and cherished her grandchildren more than anything.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Richard ''Rick'' Hunt; her mother, Emigene Price Rankins; her father, Nolan Rankins; her sister, Karen Rankins Wade; her brother-in-law, Kevin Nicholas; her sister-in-law, Pam Rankins; and her granddaughter, Ashleigh Hunt-Bennett.
Left to cherish her memory are her two loving daughters, Leslie Harrison (Bobby) of Sherwood and Lisa Hunt (Steven) of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Baileigh (Devyn) Nanny, Eli Nanny, Evan Hunt-Bennett, and Jackson Harrison; one sister, Edith Nicholas; three brothers, Doyle (Sue) Rankins, Kenneth Rankins, and Virgil Rankins; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, and many friends and extended family.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116, on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home. A funeral procession will follow to Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock for entombment.

I loved Brenda so very much. She was my cousin on my daddy side. We used to talk so much on the phone and I had promised I would get out to see her but never did. But I know she would have welco.ed me with open arms. We did visit once and I really enjoyed being with her. May she rest in peace.

Brenda was a sweet lady. May she rest in peace.

So sad to hear of Brenda's passing. We worked together years ago at SW Bell. She was a real sweetheart. Will be missed by so many, prayers for her girls and her family.

Brenda was a very special friend and I know she loved her family.

I have known Brenda for a long time. She was a very good friend and helped me through some difficult times. We worked together until my retirement in 2002 but we kept in touch since. She was a perfect example of a true friend and she will surely be missed here on earth .

I am so sorry to see this. I knew Brenda from the time when our children attended school together at St. Patrick’s. She was a great mom. Brenda was a sweet friend. We worked together at SBC in LR till we moved to Northwest Ar in 1981. We kept in touch through Facebook after that. So sorry to hear this. Was so unexpected. Prayers for the family. 🙏
