Laura Inez Stevens, 82, of Manila, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026. She was born in Fayette Co., TN on August 27, 1943, to James and Para Lee German. Laura worked for many years doing quality control for Viskase. She was a devoted Christian and a longtime member of Luxora Baptist Church, and in recent times a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Manila. Laura enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening, she took great pride in her vegetable garden and flower bed. She was so full of life and love for her family and spent much of her time spoiling the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Laura is survived by her sons: Ricky (Brenda) Stevens, David Stevens, daughter: Laurie (Donald) Ruple, 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and her sister Jean Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence ''A.C.'' Stevens, her parents, and brothers: James, Earl, Layton, Newson, Glenn, and Charlie German, sisters: Louise Hyder, Thelma Davis, Helen Ammons, and Martha New.
A visitation will be held at Roller-Swift Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with the funeral following at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens.

Laura was a very hard working woman who loved her family and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren she was a big time lover of Christmas and giving to her family she always loved decorating for Christmas and we would sit for hours making Christmas ball ornaments for the tree and would talk about the Christmas from years before with our families she was my mother-n- law at one time and I want Ricky,David and Laurie to know how sorry I am to hear of your loss may God be with each of you during your time of grief and condolences to each grandchild and great grandchildren and extended family members.
