of Sherwood, AR
August 25, 1958 - February 3, 2026
Jawanda Marlene Holloway, 67, of Sherwood, Arkansas, went peacefully to be with the Lord on February 3, 2026, after fighting a long hard battle of cancer. She was born on August 25, 1958, in Conway, Arkansas to Vernon and Allie Sawrie.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Allie Rae Sawrie; dad, Vernon Sawrie; father, Curtis Huey House; and sister, Pamela Diane Thacker.
Jawanda is survived by her loving husband of 28 years Bill Holloway of Sherwood; brothers, Curtis Ray Sawrie (Kimberly) of Mt. Vernon, Byron Sawrie (Wanda) of Quitman, and sisters, Marsha Cox (Kendall) of Greenwood, Annette Howell (Ray) Texarkana, TX, along with several nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
She had a lifelong passion for music, dancing and embracing life to the fullest. She was known for her vibrant spirit, her love of laughter, and her enjoyment of really cold beverages shared with friends. She was truly full of life and lived it on her own terms.
In her 40's, fibromyalgia impacted her health and led to early retirement from AETN where she was an asset manager. She did not let the illness define her. She faced her challenges with determination and grit before lymphoma took her too soon.
She will be remembered for her unapologetic spirit, her love of music and movement, her fierce loyalty to family and friends and the joy she brought to those around her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11:00am at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Visitation will be one hour prior at 10:00am. For those able to attend, we hope you will come prepared to share your stories and memories of Jawanda, and in this way enrich and expand everyone's memories of her.

Sending prayers and healing thoughts to Jawanda’s family. She and i were good friends in school and she always made me laugh and was a happy spirit girl that I treasure our memories forever.

I'm so sorry to hear of Jawanda's passing. We went to Greenbrier school together and the last time I saw her in person was when we had a group together planning our 35 year reunion in 2011. I saw the post on FB about her being sick and private messaged her a couple of times sending her prayers and wishing her success with her treatments, as I too have had B-cell Lymphoma cancer and in remission. Prayers to all of her family as you go thru this difficult loss. I know she will be missed. ❤️

Bill, Curtis, Kimberly and Family, We are so very sorry about Jawanda. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. She was a beautiful soul inside and out.
