Annie Ruth Buford, 77, a resident of Knoxville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born November 8, 1948, in Piedmont, Alabama, to Henry Marion and Johnnie Ruth (Mount) Edwards.
Annie loved her family. She was the retired postmaster of Lamar Post Office. Annie enjoyed reading, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, and crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Johnnie Edwards; her brother, James Eugene Edwards; her niece, Gina Edwards; her sister in-law, Carolyn Webb; and her nephews, Donald Keith Webb, and Scott Wayne Webb; and stepfather, Charles Christopher Young.
Annie is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jerry Buford, her son, Russell (Teresa) Cohen of Malvern, Arkansas; her daughter, Holly Buford of Lamar, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Jospeh Roden-Cohen of Malvern, Arkansas, Bobby (Ashley) Cohen of Donaldson, Arkansas, Katelyn (Jon) Collins of Friendship, Arkansas, and Anna Cohen of Malvern, Arkansas; her great grandchildren, Cooper, Audrey, Karleigh, Timber, Camden, and Brylynn; her stepsister, Paticia Dykes of Conway, Arkansas; her sister in-law, Martha Edwards of Malvern, Arkansas; two nieces, Amburr (John) Drury of Malvern, Arkansas; and Carmen (Jess) Edwards of Haskell, Arkansas; her grand-nephew, Dylan Drury; and adopted daughter Tiffany (Charlie) Watkins and bonus grandchildren Eli Watkins, Zayne Watkins, Faithlyn Watkins and Zayley Watkins.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Conway, Arkansas, officiated by Brother David McClellan.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Cohen, Jon Collins, Russell Cohen, Charlie Watkins, and Joe Roden. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eli Watkins, Zayne Watkins, and Cooper Collins.

Annie and I met when we both worked for the Postal Service. I later met Jerry. They were both very kind and humble people. Later, they moved to Knoxville and we would see each other occasionally, as our paths crossed. My Heartfelt Sympathy goes out to their family and friends. What a Blessing they got to make this Journey Home Together, As You Usually Seen Them, TOGETHER.

Momma Anne will be greatly missed. She treated me like family and always had a smile, a hug and beautiful conversations everytime I saw her. She was a true blessing to anyone who was blessed to know her. May she rest easy now.
