Marie Taylor

of Mountain View, AR

February 19, 1930 - January 29, 2026

Marie Taylor, 95, of Mountain View, Arkansas, was born on Wednesday, February 19, 1930, in Mountain View, Arkansas to Arden and Myrtle Barnes Green. She passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

Marie was of the Baptist faith and a faithful member of Blue Mountain Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to the love of her life, Kermit Taylor, for 60 wonderful years, a union built on devotion, hard work, and shared joy.

A devoted homemaker, Marie, found happiness in the simple blessings of life. She loved gospel music, quilting, canning, and she took great pride in caring for her home and family. Marie and Kermit worked their farm together and cherished their time at the Ozark Folk Center, where Kermit called square dances. One of Marie's greatest joys was dancing as she listened to the familiar and beloved calling of her husband.

She is survived by one nephew, Kirk Green of Mountain View, Arkansas; one niece, Vickie Hawkins of Perkins, Illinois; along with a host of extended family and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents Arden and Myrtle Barnes Green; her beloved husband, Kermit Taylor; and one brother, Sparlin ''Buck'' Green.

Pallbearers will be Kirk Green, Thane Huyard, Glen Bontrager, Brad Fulks, Neal Harness and J.L. Broyles.

Honorary Pallbearers are Dwight Richardson, Lindsey Harness and Chase Harness.
