of Harrison, AR
September 17, 1950 - January 25, 2026
Ernestine Taylor, age 75, of Harrison, flew into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Countryside Assisted Living in Harrison. Ernestine was born on September 17, 1950, in Boone County, Arkansas, the daughter of Recel and Verma Ruth (Stanley) Ramsey. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law Diana Ramsey; and a brother-in-law. Larry Lawrence.
Ernestine was born into a farming family that believed in hard work. Her first jobs on the farm included milking cows and balling hay. As she got older, she worked in the peach orchards that her family owned. She worked for Alltel for 20 years and then Emerson White Rogers for another 10 years until they moved the factory out of town. She finished her working career at Harrison Middle School where she worked until she retired.
She married Maurice Taylor on December 22, 1978, and together they built a life centered on family. She had one son, Maurice Aldon Taylor, Jr.; and three grandchildren, London, Paisley, and Steele Taylor. Her family was the light of her life and service to her family was the most important. She was a good cook and loved to cook for her family. She loved being involved in her son's life and going to any sporting event he was involved in. When her grandkids came along, she loved any time she could be with them, and they were the light of her life. Ernestine was the most amazing mother, wife, and grandmother anyone would ever meet.
Other than her family, faith was extremely important to her. She was a member of Oak Lane Free Will Baptist Church for 25 years. She devoted her life to the Lord and serving him. She was a born-again believer and served selflessly for Jesus Christ her whole life. She will be truly missed by friends and family, but Heaven gained one amazing woman.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice Taylor; her son, Maurice Aldon Taylor Jr.; her sister, Juanita Lawrence; her brothers, Carl (Thelma), Ernest and Arlis (Annabell) Ramsey; and three grandchildren, London, Paisley, and Steele Taylor.
The visitation was Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service is at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Ernest Ramsey, Arlis Ramsey, Carl Ramsey, Faron Usrey, Aldon Taylor, Jacob Usrey, and her grandchildren.
