Larry Hutson departed his earthly home January 19, 2026, to be with his heavenly father and his loved ones who have previously departed.

He was born April 13, 1945, in Peoria, Illinois to the to the late Wilbur Hutson and Edwayna Newell Hutson. He was a graduate of Mabelvale High School in Mabelvale, Arkansas, attended Henderson College in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, served in the US Navy-submarine service division and was a lineman for Entergy, Inc. until his retirement in 2019.

Larry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vilonia, Arkansas and was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is preceded in death by; his parents, Wilbur and Edwayna Hutson, five brothers, Jim, Jack, Bill, Bobby and Jerry, two sisters, Mary and Chi Chi, one daughter Tamara, and two grandchildren, Wesley and Dallas.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Jean Galloway Hutson; his sisters, Jenne and Susan, his son, Larry R. Hutson (Cyndi) of Payola, Kansas, one daughter, Monica Griffith (Roy) of Cape Girardeau, MO, six grandchildren, Tanner (Sarah), Isabelle, Charlie Lance (Cecelia), Shelby (Daniel), and Lydia, eleven great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday January 21, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Vilonia, Arkansas starting at 2pm.

Reggie Hutson, Tanner Hutson, Charlie Hutson, Lance Harris, Daniel Borel and Gage Borel.

Miss Doris, I have loved you and Larry as my own since the moment I met you two. I will sorely miss Larry, but it’s comforting to know that he was a man of God, in whose arms he is now resting. I’m praying for you as you grieve your best friend and team mate.

Y'all have my deepest condolences!! I worked with Larry at Lock-Wood and Acxiom for about 15 years. I considered Larry to be one of the best people that I got to know in my lifetime.
