May 16, 1945 - December 25, 2025
Arthur Francis Burns, age 80, resident of Conway, AR, passed away on December 25, 2025. Born May 16, 1945 in Providence, RI, he was the son of Leo and Frances Burns. Brother of Leo, Harry, Barbara, Robert, and Doris. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 56 years, Patricia Bonner Burns, who passed away November 18, 2023. They spent their married life together in Florida, with Arthur recently relocating to Arkansas to live with his daughter. He enjoyed model trains, woodworking, garage sales and antiquing, gardening, and cooking. He especially loved baking Christmas cookies every year with his wife, to share with family and friends.
Arthur is survived by his daughter, Melissa and grandson, Joshua.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, WHAT A RIDE!"

He was always kind to me in high school. I remember him giving me furniture when I first moved out many decades ago. Always said Hi over the years when I saw him at Lowes.

Melissa, so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful obituary. Uncle Arthur sure was a lot of fun and yes we all look forward to them cookies. He was quite the baker him and Aunt pat. He will be missed very much the same as Aunt Pat is missed very much too. My heart goes out to you.. sending you love hugs and many prayers God bless. And Uncle Arthur is happily cooking in heaven. Him and Aunt pat.

Mr Burns may you rest in peace. You and Mrs Burns were always so kind to us neighborhood kids. I enjoyed seeing and talking with you as an adult in Lowe’s. I always looked for you there. You will be missed.

Mr. Burns, may you rest in peace in the comfort of Mrs. Burns arms as you reunite with each other. You were always a very kind person and y’all had such talent in the kitchen baking Christmas cookies. I remember them fondly as a kid. I’m happy you got to move to Arkansas for a while, I’m sure you were happy there. A fond farewell to a wonderful man.

I still can’t believe this. Uncle will always be the funniest guy I know. Love you all.
Xoxo Ally, Chris and Steven.
