Doris Jean Fogarty, 91, of Heth, Arkansas passed away peacefully in the company of loving family members on January 17, 2026.

Jean was born in Hughes, Arkansas on February 28, 1934, to parents Elvin Brown DuVall and Lavada Violet (Gregory) DuVall. She graduated from Hughes High School in 1953 and from Itawamba Junior College in 1955 with an associate's degree in English. She worked as an administrative assistant in the medical field but her most rewarding pursuit was raising a family with her husband James Robert Fogarty. Jean and Bobby were wed in 1955. They shared many treasured moments and were well known for their dancing. On many Friday evenings, one could find them on the dance floor of VFW Post #5225 bopping the Jitterbug or the Two-Step.

She is survived by her three daughters: Cindy and her husband, Mike; Julia Ruble and her husband, Dan; and Melanie. She is also survived by her sister, Kathryn. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren: Tony (Michelle), Monica, and Marissa (children of Cindy and Mike); Michael Ferguson (Kristin) and Jonathan Ferguson; and Kiernan (child of Melanie). She was the proud great-grandmother of Gabriella and Eliana (children of Tony and Michelle); Henry and Calvin (children of Michael and Kristin); Memphis and Bentlee (children of the late Miles); and Benjamin (child of Jonathan). She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, James Robert Fogarty; her grandson, Miles Ferguson, and her siblings Daniel and Gordon.

Service to be held at 2PM on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 411 N Missouri St, West Memphis, AR.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5225 or the American Cancer Society.
