I will always remember Boss as a wonderful and kind man from my childhood. He and Norma always welcomed me to their home with love and kindness when I would visited Tonya back in elementary school. I’m so sorry for your loss, Norma, Tonya, and the rest of your family. May God’s love be close during your time of grief and the knowledge that Boss lives with the Lord bring some comfort. Praying for your family and sending love.

Boss was unique. Prime electrician. Public servant. Knower of laws. Holder of accountability. Guardian of the public interests. Even more than these: Lover of family. Friend.
Boss did his best. What else can be said. A good life is now at rest and at peace.

Boss was a gentle soul .he will be missed .

Our condolences to his wife and family. Boss was a happy man never saw him with out a smile on his face. We just talked a few weeks ago at Dollar general. He was getting ready to get his garden spot cleaned up. We will miss him. A true friend.

I thank God that Boss, Norma and family are our good friends and have been for many years. Boss is a GOD fearing Christen who was always willing to help anyone in need. He has helped me many times has shared his garden produce. We will miss him.
May GOD bless and comfort you and your family.
We will keep you in our prayers.

I've known Boss for over 40 years couldn't ask for a better neighbor.
He always had time to stop and talk when he would see you.
He will be missed.
My prayers are with you Norma. I am only a call away if you need anything .

Boss has been my neighbor for the last 8 years. Nearly every time I would be out mowing the lawn or doing yard work he would pull in and say hello and just chat. I’m going to miss him and his gentle easy going nature. It’s just not going to be the same not seeing his tan ford driving by my house several times a day.

Father God, thank you for the life and legacy of Layne "Boss" Vaughn, a man who was beloved by many for the love and care he extended to his family and community. May his family abide in the peace, love, and comfort that only you can provide heavenly Father.

Rest in peace
