Mrs. Vernia Marie Bias, born August 26, 1931, passed peacefully on January 13, 2026. Her life was defined by love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She was a devoted mother to her three daughters - Janice, Mickey, and Jackie - and lovingly helped raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Vernia's home was always open, a place of comfort and refuge. At one time, five generations lived together under her roof.
She was the heart of her family, always putting others before herself and holding everyone together with love.
Vernia hosted Thanksgiving every year and was known for cooking the best turkey anyone had ever tasted. Her signature dessert - a chocolate cake topped with whipped cream and crumbled almond Hershey bars - was a cherished tradition.
Most mornings she cooked from scratch - biscuits and gravy, potato cakes, eggs, and bacon, and sometimes her special chocolate gravy. Spaghetti and stew were family favorites.
She enjoyed romance novels, older country music, card games, and time spent with friends. She made friends everywhere she went and was deeply loved by all who knew her.

I was so sad to hear of her passing. She was such a wonderful and caring person. My thoughts and prayers are with you Bobbie, Maddie, Molly and Jesse.
I have no doubt that she is smiling down upon you as she is reunited with her children and Mason.

Fiesty lady you were always a force ! Absolutely mesmerizing !you are always in our hearts and memories forever more blessed be
