He is the son of the late Wesley Edward Bing and Mary Francis Bounds Bing. He was proceeded in death by his 4 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his sister and his life long friend, Dorothy Bing Newsome. He also leaves behind his daughter, Brandy Bing Smith (husband, Michael Smith) his son Lonnie Holmes (wife, Cindy Holmes) and his 4 grandsons. Dylan Smith (wife, Laura Smith), Landon Smith, Nolyn Smith, and Matthew Holmes (wife, Kelsey Holmes). He leaves behind one granddaughter Grace-Anne Smith. He also leaves behind one great grandson, Kanyon Holmes.
Jimmy was a good humored prankster who loved to cut up with the children. He was always ready to have a good laugh. In his spare time he loved to work on cars or play his guitars with his brothers. One of his favorite things to do was fish with his nephew, Jeff Bing. He was a gentle man with a big personality. He was loved by all.

Well I also have a life time of memories. I worked on cars. I fished I played guitar he taught me a lot about a lot of things in life. We talked every day and every night and am just already lost without him but I no his in a better place now and he feels great again no more pain So rest in peace Uncle Jim I have got what you asked me to do down here so I love you and I will do everything you asked me to do I will miss you the most!!!

Uncle Jimmy I have so many precious memories, like you finding my little dog you brought me when we lived in Memphis when I was little and you sitting and playing your guitar and singing to me , always listening when I needed an ear and your hugs and you saying Uncle Jim loves you , you’ve been in my life my whole life and I’ll miss you dearly but I know you are home now and at peace and happy & healthy , I’ll always love you and carry you in my memories & heart .
