Jackie Don Puckett, Sr., 79, of Batesville passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026.
He was born August 16, 1946 in Ajo, Arizona to Kenneth Eugene and Mabel (Brown) Puckett.
Jackie loved the United States. He enjoyed planning special trips with his grandchildren and traveling with his wife and children to special points of interest. Jackie was a big Razorbacks fan who loved to cook and be involved in family get togethers. His favorite thing was being ''Poppy''. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry (Williams) Puckett of the home, one son, Jackie Don Puckett, Jr. ''J.J.''(April); one daughter, Janette Raspberry ''Jan'' (William) of Kennett, Missouri; two sisters, Beverly Reasons, Carol Rutledge (Calvin); one aunt, Dorothy Shaffer (Jim); six grandchildren, Hannah Lamb (Chipper), McKenzie Puckett, Joseph Puckett, Jack Puckett, Blake Raspberry, and Olivia Raspberry, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held Monday, January 12, 2026 at Oaklawn Cemetery at 1:00pm with Allen Brown officiating under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

We are so sorry to just learn of Jackie’s passing. We had so much fun in the P.O.! He was always a delight every day with a smile and lots of laughter. He knew all of us and cared for each. He will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him.

Sherry., we are so sorry for your loss. I remember all our times at West Baptist. Jackie was a good person and he loved his family. My Mom and Mabel talked everyday. I remember when we lost Mabel, we were at church when they called and told us. I have been in the hospital with a concussion and brain bleed . I will not be at the funeral.
