J. H. Wagner, age 92, of Harrison, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. He was born May 8, 1933, in Harrison, to Hershel and Alta Mae (Smith) Wagner.

He was a 1952 graduate of Valley Springs High School. JH enjoyed traveling all around the United States and going to gospel singings. He owned and operated Wagner Electric and Plumbing. JH served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and in Japan. After his return from Japan, JH returned to Harrison and married the love of his life Virginia Downum, December 10, 1955.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 66 years, Virginia Wagner; and his brother, Norman Wagner.

JH is survived by his cousins, Sandra Wagner Jones and husband Gene, Cathy Wagner Wright and husband Fred and a host of family and friends.



Graveside service was Friday, January 2, 2026, at Maplewood Cemetery.
