August 13, 1949 - December 26, 2025

Chester W. Wright ''Chet,'' 76, of Conway, Arkansas, died on December 26, 2025, at his home. He was born August 13, 1949, to Floyd B. Wright and Frances B. Vancleve Wright in Little Rock.

Preceding him in death are his parents, a brother, Charles Wright, his son, Bradley Wright, and infant daughter, Brittany Leanne Wright.

His survivors include his wife of 46 years, Gayle chance Wright, two sisters, Francis Qualls, of Russellville, and Floy Underwood, of Dardanelle, and several nieces and nephews. Two of his nephews, Darrell Lowder and Todd Lowder, both of Russellville, he was especially fond of.

After a brief stint in the army with an honorable discharge, Chester surrendered to preach at age 19. He worked several jobs while living in Oregon, at Plywood Mills and then moving back to Arkansas, he spent about 25 years working as a pressman, printing newspapers in Russellville and about 18 of those years, he spent at the Log Cabin.

Chester became disabled and was in a wheelchair for about 24 years but never waived his love for God and to those who knew and loved him, he was a prime example of a child of God and never wavered and professed his love for him to all he would encounter. He loved Ham Radio and achieved extra class status and was a volunteer examiner until he no longer could be, with being in a wheelchair. He also loved woodworking and being outdoors.

According to Chester's wishes, there will be no service.

I worked with “Chet” at log cabin Democrat too as a catcher when he was with Mr Von Lee back in the late 80s. He was always kind to me. I used to see him in wal mart and he was always in pain but took time to catch up. I know he will be missed. Very sorry to learn of his passing.
