October 6, 1953 - December 26, 2025

Randy David Long, 72, of Mountain View, passed away on Friday December 26, 2025, at his
home. He was born October 6, 1953, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Harmon Hayden and Jewell
(Pogue) Long.
He married Brinda Stewart in 1973 and they enjoyed fifty-two years of marriage together. They
had three children; Holly, Matt, and Rusty.
He was a 1972 graduate of Mountain View High School and received a Bachelor of theology
degree from Andersonville Baptist Seminary in 1995.
Randy accepted Jesus as his Savior in 1965 at First Baptist Church in Mountain View. He has
been a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church for the past 52 years. He loved the Lord
and surrendered to preach in early 1981, was ordained shortly after, and has been the pastor of
Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church for the past 44 years.
Randy spent most of his years farming chickens and cattle. He was a member of the Mountain
View Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years. Coaching his boys' T-Ball, Peewee, and Little
League baseball teams for many years was something he enjoyed. He especially loved being in
God's creation while hunting, fishing, and camping. Later in life, he restored a 1971 Mach 1
Mustang to be identical to the first car he had when he was 16. He took a lot of joy in hunting,
fishing, and spending time with his grandkids. He especially enjoyed watching his grandkids in
their activities.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Larry, infant daughter, Holly, his
mother-in-law, Nada Stewart, father-in-law, Joe Stewart, niece, Amanda Kemp, brother-in-law,
Don Kemp, and brother-in-law, Glenn Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Brinda, of the home; sisters Betty Williams of Mountain View and
Nora Kemp of Vilonia; sons Matt (Tonya) and Rusty (Mary Ann) and grandchildren, Haley,
Hayden, Kiley, Kassidy, Chloe, and Grant all of Mountain View; three nieces, one nephew, and
several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Funeral services are Monday, December 29, 2025 at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas at 10:00AM with Matt Long, Dylan Stewart, and Toby Crymes officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Big Springs Cemetery in Newnata, Arkansas.

Although I won’t make it today due to work, without Mr. Randy I wouldn’t be the Christian I am today. He meant so much to me and I will always remember and be grateful for the things he taught me about Jesus and the bible. He was one of a kind and was loved by many. Sending so many prayers for his family up to Jesus because I know it’s a difficult time. Randy always said I’m ready to be singing with the Lord and now he is ❤️

I was so sadden to hear of Randyʻs passing. We grew up like Brother and Sister and I have so many memories of us as kids growing up. He and his family will always be very special to me.
We all know he is in a better place, but it doesnt take the hurt and sadness away from any of us, but what a glorious day it will be when we meet
again. Love all of you so much and will be praying for each of you.
