March 20, 1965 - December 23, 2025
Samuel Todd ''Rooster'' Shaw, died Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 20, 1965, to Samuel Claude Shaw and Betty Lou Holland. He is preceded in death by his father, a nephew Taylor; niece, Courtney; and all grandparents.
Survivors are his wife, Christy Shaw of 26 years; his mother, Betty Shaw; brothers, Ted (Sharon), Tim (Cindy), and Tony (Cheryl). He became like a father to Abby (Joe) Briggler, and a grandparent to Chelsea, Emery, and Iziah.
He loved his wife and kept her on her toes. Didn't like buying flowers so he would pick them and put the arrangement together. Some of you may have seen him in your yard picking flowers. They enjoyed dancing, buggy riding, camping together and many other things. He was one of a kind, to say the least.
He worked in drywall construction jobs and whatever else that needed done. He would help whoever, pay or no pay; didn't matter who it was. He never met a stranger and if you ever met him, you wouldn't forget him. He was a good friend and had many friends. He was a class clown in high school.
He lived life to the fullest and loved to be outdoors; loved hunting and hanging yoyo's; putting out trout lines and trying to catch that big one, and there wasn't a dirt road he didn't want to go down. He enjoyed buggy rides and spending time with family and friends. He became a different person when he took in his niece (Abby) and kids. He loved to go to his deer camp in Alread, the 4T Hunting Club. He just loved to go on the river and back up waters.
He was a brother that a brother would like to have. He will be missed by all.
Graveside service will be 11:00am, Saturday, December 27, 2025, with a visitation beginning at 10:00am, both at Kennerly Cemetery.
