Richard Wayne Kirk, age 66, of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, passed away on December 19, 2025, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Richard was born in Clarendon, Arkansas, to the late Charles Wayne Kirk and Ruby Kathleen Kirk (Keel). He was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran and a hardworking man throughout his life. Richard was employed with the Pepsi Cola Company and worked as a machinist, in construction, and in roofing.

He was a faithful attendee of Second Baptist Church of West Memphis. Richard was well known for his ability to fix anything that was broken and for his talent for turning one person's trash into another person's treasure. His skills, creativity, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.


Richard is survived by his sister, Barbara Gilbert of Cherry Valley, Arkansas; nieces Sarah Beth Pruitt (Michael) and Atlanta Kanaan; nephews Conner Gilbert and JaFar Kanaan; great-nephews Parker Pruitt and Raylan Pruitt; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Diane Kanaan; his grandparents; his uncle, Roy Lee Keel; his aunts, Ann Reed and Barbara Taylor; and his cousin, Johnny Reed.

Richard will be remembered for his hard work, ingenuity, and the quiet way he helped others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
