Lamont Gail Coker, 79, of Conway, passed peacefully from this life into the next on Tuesday, December 16th, 2025.
Mr. Coker was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. Coker and Elene Coker, his sister, Suzie Pratt, and his wife of 60 years, Vonna Dean Coker.
Gail is survived by his sister, Vickie James (Larry), three children: Teresa Dickenson, Lisa Murdock (David), and James Coker (Dawn). He is also survived by five grandchildren: Stephenie Harrington (Jacob), Justin Murdock (Jhierney), James William (Buddy) Coker Jr, Joy Murdock, Hunter Coker, and two great-grandchildren, his best friend Gerald Bates, brother-in-law Sam Spears (Connie), a host of relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his sidekick, Taylor the wonder dog.
He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Vonna Dean Spears, on July 1st, 1965. They enjoyed 60 years together and built a life together rooted in love, faith, and family.

Gail loved telling a good story, and his infectious wit and sense of humor was enjoyed by all. He also enjoyed watching football (even or especially the Razorbacks), number games, and a good cup of coffee (or any cup of coffee in a pinch). He loved tinkering with tools and clocks, earning the nickname ''Peepaw Ticktock'' from his young grandkids. He never met a stranger.

Daddy Gail gave the best hugs. He always had a smile and loved to share it. I will miss his antidotes, his laugh, and how much he loved his children. He always made me feel part of the family. I will miss him dearly. I am sure he is in heaven making everyone laugh and making sure the new angels are comfortable.

Sorry to hear this. May God comfort each and everyone in this time ,Dorothy and Fred Morlan
