Alice Faye Byers

of Bryant, AR

September 25, 1943 - December 2, 2025

Alice Faye Byers was born on September 25, 1943 to Glenn E. and Beulah E. Johnson- Mahoney and she passed while in Baptist ICU on December 2, 2025, following an accident and brief illness.

She was adopted by her Paternal Grandparents, William Lionel ''Tiny'' & Ruth Bredwell of Hot Springs. Her final home was in Benton, where her life had earlier connections.

Alice owned and ran several businesses over the years, all over Arkansas and even taught school. She had many hobbies and interests that led her in many directions.

Alice was proceeded in death by husbands James A. Miller & Randall Byers

Her Children- James William Miller (Deceased) of Benton & Debra Haston of Oklahoma City

Grandchildren- Sara Holsworth of Oklahoma City, April Goodknight of Benton, Emily & Joe Eckard of Bryant, Daniel J. Haston and Nikki Dillin of Texas.

Great grandchildren- Spencer Holsworth, Cooper Eckard, Paige A. & Daniel J. Haston Jr. of Texas, Austin Limbock and Morgan & Brandon Barber of Benton.

Great, Great Grandchildren- Jackson & Delilah Holsworth

One nephew- Bill Mahaney of California

And last, but certainly not least, Louis ''Tody'' Ballard, her adopted son and her chosen person for the last 40 years, bonding in the beginning over the loss of their loved ones.

His final words about Alice: When you lose someone that has been close, long term, you lose a personal witness to the events of your life. This is not about me, I merely serve as a witness to her later life and a testimony of who she was to me. She was Mama Alice to me and to her grandchildren. To me, she was a gentle, kind and gracious figure that I held in high esteem, and I regarded her opinion...and boy! Did she have her opinions! But she also had wisdom that I still lack. I will miss my 'adopted' Mother deeply as I know her family and friends will.

I understand that some never experienced her the same way and I really wish they had. I pray for God's Grace and comfort and closure for her friends and family and that the Lord will keep her secure in His Holy embrace. Peace be to you all.
- Louis 'Tody' Ballard
