Glenn Edward Espey, 68, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away on December 13, 2025.
Glenn was born on April 9, 1957, in Huntsville, Texas, to the late Edward ''Ed'' Vernon Espey and Helen Margaret Tubb. He was raised in Haskell, Arkansas. He attended Benton High School and graduated in 1975. Glenn was a member of the United Steel Workers Union while working as a press operator at Arkansas Container, Weyerhauser, and West Pack until the plant's closing in 2008. He finished his career as a heavy equipment operator at Saint Gobain Norton Proppants retiring in 2019.

He built security for his family instilling the same reliability and work ethic within his sons. While working at Saint Gobain, he acquired the nickname ''the ghost'' because he would come in, complete his work, and leave for the day always reliable and unassuming. Glenn was a devoted motorcycle enthusiast and was always up for a ride with his sons Justin and Matt. He loved spending time on the water and road trips to visit his cousins in Alabama.

Glenn is survived by his son Justin and wife Scarlett of Cabot, Arkansas; son Matt and wife Leigh of Benton, Arkansas; grandchildren Emmett Jones; Garrett, Henry, and Archer Espey; niece Sherrie Still and husband Rick, nephew Kevin Hunt and wife Becky, nephew Richard Ward; and cousins Ronnie Whitley, Judy Walters, David Whitley, and Steve Whitley of Alabama. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Dorothy Jean Espey Gatlin and Dianne Ward.

Funeral service will be held at Rosemont Cemetery in Benton, Arkansas, on Friday, December 19, at 1:00 PM with Brother Rich Hamlin officiating.

RIP Glenn. You raised a fine son in Justin. I’m sure Matt is too, just haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him yet.
Prayers and condolences to all the families and friends.
