Mr. Howard Eugene Reeves, 91, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. He was born on November 24, 1934, in Urbana, Kansas, to Roy and Hazel (Adams) Reeves. He married Joan (Treat) Reeves on November 27, 1955. He was a lifelong member of Quality Ridge Church of Christ, a member of the Baxter County Historical Society, and an avid farmer who raised turkeys and cows and even worked in several feed stores.
Howard is survived by his wife; three sons: Terry Reeves (Sandra), Larry Reeves (Vickie), and Paul Reeves (Mynnette); seven grandchildren: Daniel Reeves (Tera), Levi Reeves (Hannah), Nathan Reeves (Abigail), Amy Dorse (Anthony), Will Reeves (Missy), April Parsons, and Cody Reeves (Kaley); 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and six sisters: Thelma Roper, Velma Cotter (Max), Wilma Hughes, Roberta White (Lester), Wanda Wilson (Jim), and Marge Marquart. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Roy Reeves, Doyle Willard, and Basil Willard.
A visitation will be held between 6-8:00pm on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Roller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Roller Funeral Home with interment to follow at Baxter Memorial Gardens with pallbearers: Daniel, Levi, Nathan, Will, and Cody Reeves and Blanton Chapman.

I met Howard almost 50 years ago. He always had time to stop and visit wherever I would run into him, whether at a local business, restaurant, or doctor's office. I will always remember a firm handshake, and a smile. My deepest sympathy to all of the family in this time of sadness.

Joan and family, praying for yall, Howard loved having all of us from the churches in Madison county for yalls church events. It won't be the same there with him singing walking the sea with all of the churches together. Glad he was my brother in Christ, and glad he wanted us to visit and go eat after then meetings and the regular church services are over. Will miss seeing him at the meeting in May.

I am sorry to hear of his passing. I have been blessed with several good cousins, and he was one of the best. Now he is no longer ill. My prayers are with his families as they get through this time of struggle. I know he will be happy being with his brothers and Mom, once again. Love you, always, Judy Ellison

Howard was one of those good men we hear about. He and Joann raised a good family.
