Perry D Shock, Jr.

of Sherwood, AR

June 23, 1947 - December 4, 2025

Perry DeGrays Shock Jr., born June 23, 1947, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 4, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry DeGrays Shock Sr. and Helen Keathley Shock; his brothers, Bobby Shock and Kevin Shock; and his sister-in-law, Linda Shock.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Beverly Gray Shock of Sherwood; his son, Perry DeGrays Shock III (Dawn) of Cabot; his cherished grandchildren, Carys and Bella; his nephews, Joel and Jason Shock; and his beloved four-legged companion, Tommy.

Perry was a 1965 graduate of Conway High School and was immensely proud to be a member of the football team that won the state championship during his senior year. He attended what is now the University of Central Arkansas before earning his Doctor of Pharmacy. After retiring from a successful career in pharmacy, Perry embraced a second calling in the world of finance, serving as a financial advisor, trainer, recruiter, and manager. Through his work and into retirement, he touched countless lives. Above all, Perry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he was especially proud of his son, Perry III.

Baseball was Perry's greatest passion. Growing up, he played pitcher and first base and was even offered the opportunity to pursue a professional baseball career after high school. He chose instead to remain close to home and family. Following in his father's footsteps, Perry dedicated himself to coaching his son from tee ball through Legion ball, never missing a game. Legion ball in their community would not exist without the dedication and hard work of the Shock family. The family takes comfort in imagining Perry now on the pitcher's mound, Kevin at first base, Perry Sr. at short stop, Bobby behind the plate as catcher, and Jesus as the umpire.

Perry loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and lived his life guided by faith.

A celebration of life will be held at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
