Geraldine Thessing Mayor passed away Monday, December 1, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on December 8, 1932 to the late Theodore Thessing and Cecilia Stiefvater Thessing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mayor Sr., brothers, Ray Thessing and JC Thessing; sister, Mildred Thessing Miller; twin sisters, Doris and Delores Thessing.
She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1950.
Geraldine is survived by her children; Cheryl West, Margie Fleming, Robert Mayor Jr. and Randy Mayor, all of Conway; two brothers, Dr. Ted Thessing of Rolla, Missouri and Dr. Paul Thessing of Conway; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Burial will be at Oak Grove cemetery.
She will be remembered for the kindness she showed to everyone she met and the joy she brought into the lives of those closest to her.
Geraldine's life was filled with simple pleasures that reflected her gentle spirit. She loved to read, finding comfort and inspiration in the written word. She expressed her creativity through painting, and she delighted in the quiet satisfaction of completing puzzles. These hobbies reflected her patience, imagination, and appreciation for life's small but meaningful moments.
She was blessed with many lifelong friends, whose companionship enriched her journey and whose memories will continue to honor her legacy. Above all, Geraldine cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a caring sister, and a proud grandmother. Her love and guidance will remain a lasting gift to those who knew her best.
Geraldine's presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her life was a testament to love, friendship, and the beauty of everyday joys.
